F.A.Q.

How long before my appointment should I arrive?
a. If you are a new patient that has not filled out any necessary forms, please arrive 20 minutes before your appointment.
b. If you are a new patient that has filled out all required documents, please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment.
c. All other existing patients, please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment.
How long will my appointment last?
For new patients or yearly exams, your appointment will take slightly over an hour. We work to ensure that all patients have a comprehensive exam and consultation, so in order to answer all questions or concerns, appointments may go over an hour.
Should I have someone that can drive me home after dilation?
For dilated eye exams, we recommend that you have someone to drive you home since your eyes may be slightly impaired. If you cannot have someone drive you home, we encourage you to bring sunglasses, which will help you see better.
What insurance do you take?

We take all major insurances; however, we strongly advise you to double-check with your insurance carrier that we participate with your specific plan before booking your appointment.

While we accept most insurance plans, it is the patient’s responsibility to ensure any changes to their insurance coverage before their appointment. Please verify that Dr. Hynes is part of your network to avoid any unexpected charges.

What should I bring to my appointment?
We ask that you bring photo identification and your insurance card along with a form of payment and an updated list of medications you are currently taking.
